Takedown notices.
How to submit a copyright notice or counter-notice.
Effective: 21 April 2026 · Version 1.1
ZeroBaseCamp respects intellectual property and complies with applicable copyright law, including the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) in the United States and equivalent laws in the EU. We respond to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement.
If you believe content on zerobasecamp.com infringes your copyright, send a written notice to takedowns@zerobasecamp.com including all of the following:
(1) A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or person authorized to act on their behalf.
(2) Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed (e.g., a URL to the original work or a clear description).
(3) Identification of the material on zerobasecamp.com claimed to be infringing, with specific URLs.
(4) Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email.
(5) A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
(6) A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
Notices missing any of these elements will not be processed.
We aim to acknowledge receipt within 2 business days and to act on valid notices within 5 business days. Action may include removing the disputed content, modifying it, or, if we believe the notice is invalid, declining to act and explaining why.
We will notify the affected party (typically ourselves, since this is a single-author publication, but in cases involving third-party content we may need to contact the original source).
If you believe content was removed in error or as a result of misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to takedowns@zerobasecamp.com including:
(1) Your physical or electronic signature.
(2) Identification of the material removed and its location before removal.
(3) A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
(4) Your name, address, telephone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in your district (or, if outside the US, the courts of England and Wales) and that you will accept service from the original notice submitter.
If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the content within 10–14 business days unless the original claimant provides notice of legal action.
We do not host third-party user submissions on zerobasecamp.com (the contact form is not public-facing). However, in keeping with industry practice, we maintain a record of takedown notices and would terminate access for repeat infringers if such a system were ever introduced.
Submitting a false or misleading takedown notice or counter-notice may result in legal liability for damages, including legal fees, under DMCA §512(f) and equivalent provisions of EU law. Please ensure your claims are accurate before submitting.
